24 Jan 2015 BMW F10, Android System Installed with Touch Screen
2015 BMW F10 In The INDIWORK Garage.
Car Android System With Touch Screen
Devices Used :
– A-LINK (Android Settop Box)
– HD-LINK Digital Multi Interface
– Capacitive touch screen panel
– GPS FAKRA Cable
The BMW F10 is easier to install than other car models. This is a structure that is easy to disassemble the inside.
I started removing the car parts to install the interface and touch screen panel.
The applicable interface supports HDMI, so it outputs video at high quality. And, instead of an external GPS, I can use the FAKRA type cable to receive the car’s original GPS signal and provide a high GPS reception rate. In addition, because the capacitive touch panel of the same type as the smartphone is used, the touch sensitivity is very excellent.
With the original iDrive, you can use convenient features like change channels, change tracks, app shortcuts, and zoom in/out the map.
This is the boot screen of A-LINK. I tested the Android system after installation is complete.
Main UI of A-LINK.
It is a smart drive provided by A-LINK. You can set options to control the iDrive.
